Leadership Launchpad Guides Veterans into Civilian Project Leadership

Former servicemen and women have leadership experience, problem-solving skills, and team management expertise that make them natural project leaders. Translating this experience into civilian careers can be challenging, from navigating competitive job markets to framing military experience in ways employers understand.

Leadership Launchpad, founded by Rob Anderson, bridges this gap, providing CPD-certified, practice-led online courses that turn military skills into high-impact project leadership roles across industries such as healthcare, construction, technology, retail, and charities.

The programmes are designed to support veterans at every stage of their career transition. Whether exploring project leadership for the first time, developing hands-on leadership skills, or preparing to guide others in complex projects, the courses meet learners where they are and equip them to move forward with confidence. Each programme offers a clear overview of what’s included, who it’s for, and how it can support the next step in a civilian career, from initial exploration to senior-level strategic development.

Participants gain hands-on experience with real-world projects, learning how to manage teams, coordinate complex initiatives, and deliver results under pressure. The courses focus on developing essential skills such as communication, ownership, resilience, and even practical guidance for presenting oneself effectively to employers. By combining structured learning with practical exercises, former servicemen and women can translate their military experience into civilian project leadership roles, giving them a clear roadmap for career progression and the confidence to thrive from day one.

This launchpad is the ideal starting point for veterans considering a career change, developing hands-on leadership skills, or supporting others to deliver complex projects. Its flexible, practice-led approach ensures there is a programme to match every need, helping participants explore different routes into project leadership regardless of their previous experience.

Rob Anderson brings over 15 years of experience leading major projects across sectors, including the Olympic Legacy Programme, the Grenfell Tower recovery, and the EU Exit readiness programme. He is an Institute of Leadership Level 7 qualified professional, a Prince2 project manager, and an MSP® practitioner.

For veterans ready to take the next step, Leadership Launchpad provides the tools, knowledge, and credibility to succeed in competitive civilian industries. Enrolment is now open, offering a clear and practical pathway from military service to successful project leadership careers.

Your guide to Remembrance Sunday at The Cenotaph

Each November, the heart of London falls silent.  Along Whitehall, medals catch the low autumn light, poppies flutter against dark coats, and the echo of a single bugle marks the start of the two-minute silence.  For those who have served, Remembrance Sunday at the Cenotaph is more than ceremony – it’
