Bromley FC Launches Football Sessions for Veterans

Bromley FC’s Community Trust has announced the launch of free football sessions tailored specifically for military veterans. This initiative, starting in March, aims to bring former service personnel together through the shared love of the game, promoting physical fitness and mental well-being.

The sessions, held at the club’s Hayes Lane ground, will provide veterans with a structured yet relaxed environment to enjoy football, regardless of experience or ability. Beyond the sport itself, the programme is designed to foster camaraderie, helping participants reconnect with the sense of teamwork and belonging they experienced in service.

Recognising the unique challenges faced by many veterans, including isolation and the transition to civilian life, the club’s Community Trust is committed to offering support both on and off the pitch. These football sessions will serve as a gateway to wider veteran support networks, ensuring those involved have access to mental health resources, social opportunities, and local community initiatives.

Bromley FC joins a growing number of clubs using football as a tool to support the Armed Forces community, proving that the game is more than just a sport—it’s a lifeline. Veterans interested in getting involved can find more details on the Bromley FC website.
